We had an In-house field trip on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 with regards to Safety Week. We had the honors to have with us an officer from the Brantford Police Force, Michael Sciberras, who is also the father of one of our students here at our preschool.

This is an ad which will be posted on a bus bench at Diane and Blackburn streets in West Brant.

We had a very successful Mother’s Day Concert and Tea Party.

P.D. Day for the staff on Friday, April 1. Madame Carol and Madame Helmers will be attending the Early Learning Conference which will be taking place on that day.

Monday, February 21 is a Statutory Holiday. The school will be closed

We are venturing this year to have two OPEN HOUSE events in March to promote our preschool for the fall enrollment:

Saturday, March 5th, 2011 from 10:00 A.M – 1:00 P.M.

and

Saturday, March 26th, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

This day is coming soon. Friday, February 4th is a NO SCHOOL DAY for all of our students. It is Parent/Teacher Interviews for your child’s first term.

If you wish to meet with the teachers on Friday , February 4th , the time schedule will soon be posted by the main entrance door for you to book a time slot. Ten minutes allocated for each child.

Should your child have a need to be administered medication while attending class at anytime during the school year, please print and fill out the Medication Authorization form and give it to the teacher upon his/her arrival on that day. Extra forms can be found in the mail basket at the entrance door.

St. Mary’s Parish Community Spring Fundraiser:

**GARAGE SALE – SATURDAY, MAY 24**

Some of the teachers and families of our school are members of this parish. A parent and myself are helping Father Luc to organize this event. However, we need items to sale. Therefore, if you do anticipate a Spring Cleaning in your home or office, could you please keep the items that you wish to get rid of for this event.

Drop-off dates & time – Wed May 21 & Thurs May 22, from 4pm – 8pm at the parish hall just beside the church on Murray Street. We greatly appreciate your support.

Please mark your calendars for three upcoming events:

• Wednesday, May 21, a visit to the Safety Village. Means of transportation will be Public Transit. We will be needing chaperons. If you are available on that morning, please let us know. A permission slip will be given to each child to take home one week prior to the outing.

• Wednesday June 18/2008, Graduation for six of our students who are going in grade 1 in September at 10:00am.

• End of the year family picnic on June 20th at 5:00pm at Mohawk Park. A new regulation from Brant County Health Unit, is preventing us to enjoy a Potluck Dinner due to health hazards. We are asking each family to give the school a donation of $10.00 which will go towards some of the expenses for the shelter, food and beverages.
